Willow

Our children are designed to move, sleep, eat, and poop, and when one or more of those things isn’t happening in a child’s life, then chances are the child isn’t the only one suffering.  For sweet Willow, her mom’s heart was breaking as she watched her daughter consistently cry from unrelenting constipation.  Suppositories, formula changes, watered-down apple juice and prune juice…Willow’s determined momma, Jasmine, tried it all.  Feeling frustrated and defeated when nothing helped, Jasmine went into “momma mode” and fell into the “research rabbit hole.”  Urged by her sister who is an infant teacher and “full-blown crunchy mama,” the skeptical Jasmine decided to “drink the Kool-Aid” and give pediatric chiropractic care a try! 

Chronic constipation wasn’t the only thing poor Willow struggled with – she also had torticollis and wouldn’t look to the left even when her family tried to engage her from that side.  “I knew in my heart that she was a very chill and happy baby, but when she needed to poop and couldn’t, she just cried and cried.  It was absolutely heartbreaking to watch,” Jasmine recalled.  Jasmine admitted her chiropractic skepticism to Dr. Rhonda at Willow’s initial visit.  “My child had some pretty gnarly neurological scans in the beginning, and I thought ‘Wow, that looks like a challenging thing to fix’.”  However, after Willow began her individualized care plan, complete with gentle, neurologically-focused pediatric adjustments, “Weeping Willow” turned into a happy little tree!  Now with daily, tearless poops, a full range of movement in her head and neck, and sleeping 11-12 hours per night, Willow is thriving like her sweet little body was intended to!  We thank Jasmine for her sweet words: “If you’re a first-time mom or a 10th time mom, find yourself a community where you are safe to ask questions and maybe even cry a few tears because it is tough out there finding the best care for our littles, and E320’s network and family of like-minded professionals who are the best in their field helped Willow thrive.”  Hopefully one day Willow will understand how blessed she is to have such a tenacious and loving momma that sought after the best care for her.  We sure are glad that Jasmine used her “Google machine” to find us here at E320 Chiropractic, because now we get to celebrate Willow’s continued wins as she continues to grow and thrive!
